In Episode 5, the Ferrix mechanic finally turns the tables on her tormentor, killing Imperial torturer Doctor Gorst. Speaking exclusively with TV Insider, Diego Luna and Adria Arjona explain why the payoff is complicated, cathartic, and crucial to the season’s moral arc.
A Long-Awaited Win for Bix
No Star Wars character carried heavier trauma in Season 1 than Bix Caleen, who barely survived Gorst’s sonic torture. “If anyone deserved a victory, it was Bix,” Arjona says, grinning at the phrase Bix revenge. “Tony [Gilroy] told me early that she’d press the button herself, and it felt right—but it wasn’t simple.”

Arjona recalls meeting actor Joshua James, “the sweetest man alive,” minutes before filming the kill shot. “It hit me that Bix revenge scene isn’t clean. She presses the trigger, but the scars don’t vanish.
You feel relief, and then you sit with the cost.” Luna praises the sequence for avoiding easy catharsis: “That’s Tony. Justice arrives, but trauma lingers.”
Cassian’s Spy Couture—And What It Says About Trust
While Bix plots vengeance, Cassian slides into a fashion-designer disguise to probe the Ghorman Front. Luna loved the wardrobe collaboration with designer Michael Wilkinson.
“I’m a costume person,” he laughs. “Every stitch tells story. The suit shows how far Cassian’s willing to go—and how much he’s learned from Luthen.” For Arjona, the outfit also signals trust: “Bix sees him in that cape and knows he’s all-in, risking exposure for the cause and for her.”
A Love Forged in Ferrix Ritual
Season 2 finally slows down to reveal tender mornings and a rooftop “Ferrixian dance” between the pair. “Tony wrote, ‘I want to go home,’” Arjona notes. “Home means Bix. Bix revenge scene lands harder because you’ve spent quiet time with them—eating, laughing, waking up together.” Luna agrees: “Intimate scenes show why Cassian fights. The galaxy feels real when you watch them share breakfast.”
What Bix’s Revenge Means for the Rebellion
Killing Gorst does more than settle a personal score. It shifts power on Morlana One, cripples an interrogation program, and inspires other cells. “She makes the galaxy safer,” Luna says.
Arjona adds, “But it’s not the end of Bix’s journey. Revenge opens new wounds. She still has to live with what she’s done and what she’s lost.”
The Road Ahead
With six episodes left, the actors tease that Bix revenge scene is only the midpoint. Cassian’s undercover mission deepens, Dedra tightens her grip, and Vel’s sacrifice looms. “Nothing ends well here,” Luna jokes. Arjona nods: “But moments of justice keep hope alive—on screen and for the audience.”

Bix Caleen (Wookieepedia)
Bix Caleen was a female human mechanic who was the owner of the Caleen Salyard on the Free Trade sector planet of Ferrix. She worked alongside Timm Karlo, who was also her lover. She was close with her ex-boyfriend, Cassian Andor, who trusted her greatly. She also had offworld connections, namely Luthen Rael.
When Andor informed her he was looking to sell a valuable item, Caleen contacted Rael, who was already interested in meeting Andor. When Preox-Morlana security forces arrived on Ferrix to arrest Andor, who had killed two of their officers, Caleen learned that Karlo had informed on Andor and ran to help him.
However, she was beaten and handcuffed by several officers, and when Karlo attempted to help her, he was shot and killed. Caleen was later freed by two men, Salman Paak and his son Wilmon. Some time after the Preox-Morlana security forces incident, Bix was interrogated by ISB Supervisor Dedra Meero and tortured under her orders in her search for leads to Andor.
