Fans of FX’s culinary dramedy can breathe a sigh of relief: The Bear Season 5 is officially on the way.

Less than a week after the premiere of its fourth season on June 25, FX announced the renewal, confirming that the Emmy-winning series will continue to stream on Hulu, with the next installment expected in 2026.
A Fan Favorite Returns
Despite its season four finale titled “Goodbye,” the hit series isn’t closing its kitchen doors anytime soon.
FX chairman John Landgraf praised the show’s continued success and global popularity.
“The Bear continues to be a fan favorite worldwide, and their response to this season — as seen through incredibly high viewership — has been as spectacular as any of its previous seasons,” Landgraf said in a statement.

Landgraf further highlighted the creative team behind the series: “Year-in and year-out, Chris Storer, the producers, cast and crew make The Bear one of the best shows on television, and we are excited that they will continue to tell this magnificent story.”
Impressive Performance and Critical Acclaim
While FX and Hulu have not released specific viewership figures for season four, previous seasons have demonstrated the show’s strong staying power. Season three, for example, remained on Nielsen’s streaming top 10 charts for six weeks — an impressive run for a binge-release format — amassing about 4.5 billion viewing minutes in that period.
The Bear Season 5 renewal reflects the series’ consistent popularity and critical acclaim, which have propelled it to multiple Emmy wins and cemented its place as one of TV’s most celebrated shows.
What Season 4 Left Behind
Season four, which was filmed back-to-back with season three, left the staff of The Bear facing mounting pressure.
Carmy (Jeremy Allen White), Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), and their team strive to push the restaurant forward while confronting looming financial deadlines.
Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Matty Matheson round out the main cast, with recurring roles played by Oliver Platt and Molly Gordon.
The tight-knit ensemble’s performances continue to be a major draw for audiences and critics alike.
The Team Behind The Bear Season 5
Series creator Christopher Storer will return as executive producer, alongside Josh Senior, Joanna Calo, Cooper Wehde, Tyson Bidner, Matty Matheson, Hiro Murai, and Rene Gube.
Courtney Storer serves as co-executive producer and culinary producer. FX Productions remains the studio behind the series.
With The Bear Season 5 set for 2026, fans can look forward to more tension, growth, and culinary chaos as the team at The Bear navigates their high-stakes ambitions. Until then, the kitchen remains open — and the story continues to simmer.
